About
My name is Edmund Loh and welcome to my Internet Marketing blog! This is where I write my personal notes on my adventures in business and journey to success.
I am originally from Petaling Jaya, Malaysia though I can be often seen in Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru and occasionally our neighboring country Singapore.
I have a Personal Homepage where I post up photos, write about my latest adventures and other non-Internet Marketing related stuff - all at Edmund Loh dot name: http://www.edmundloh.name/.
BIOGRAPHY: Edmund Loh
Edmund Loh started his Internet Business on 3rd March 2005 as a Resell Rights Marketer. Prior to starting his first business of any kind, the only working experience he had under his belt was working as an office boy at a chemical manufacturing company for one full year.
After achieving moderate success reselling other people’s products online, he went on to discover ‘by accident’ and later popularize the Private Label Rights concept through his first E-Book, Edmund Loh’s Guide to Private Label Rights. It was also the earliest detailed guide on the Internet written on the subject of Internet Private Label Rights.
Within the same year, Edmund launched the first Private Label Rights Gold (PLRGold) package and since then, have created more than 300 PLR titles (still counting) and 4 sequels to what is now the most recognized brand in the digital Private Label Rights industry, not including several other launches and PLR releases.
In Year 2006, Edmund launched Resell Rights Mastery and the flagship site would continue to thrive with more than 25,000 active members and counting.
In Year 2007, Edmund made his first six figure launch breakthrough: the PLRGold Master Rights Pack 5 (now PLRGold: Enterprise) launch broke the US$100,000 barrier in 3 months. This record was broken again the following year when he did it in 10 days this time with PLRGold: Videos.
6th January 2008: Edmund had been interviewed by The Star on the subject about prospecting the possibilities of making money online.
Edmund had also co-authored a book dedicated to aspiring youth entrepreneurs with Dylan Loh, ClickBank Maestro, and best-selling author Stuart Tan. The result: Secrets of Millionaire Students (now national bestseller). The book is now available in major book stores throughout Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
In 4th May 2009, Edmund teamed up with Vince Tan and Stephen Luc on the Mega Red Packet project which helped more than 700 members in setting up their own Reseller Memberships and Franchise Businesses modeled after the dynamic trio’s success in Internet Marketing.
When not working on his business, Edmund meets friends and new people, indulges in computer games, tries new things, and travels abroad to experience different cultures.

Early Days: How I Got Started Online
Okay that sounds cool to many and I have friends telling me they would trade places with me. If you asked me several years ago, I wish I would too. Here’s how everything started for me back then…
-
NOTE: This is just a condensed version of my journey in the recent years prior to my Internet Entrepreneurship career. Obviously, a lot more had happened in my transition towards becoming an Internet Entrepreneur but because I could write only so much in this page, I’m giving a long story short.
1999-2003: SMK Damansara Jaya
This is where I had been for most of my high school days until a major event ‘capsized’ my final year of schooling. When I was schooling here, I was active in the following co-curicular activities/organizations:
- The 37th Scout Troop (1999-2003)
- The Yellow House (1999-2003)
- The Prefectorial Board (2001-2002)
- The Computer Club (2001-2003)
- Atheletics Club (2002-2003)
- Black & White Magazine (2002-2003)
- Nostalgia Magazine (2003)
2003: Brief Journey to London, UK and then to Klang and later Johor Bahru, Malaysia
Long story short, my parents filed for a divorce and naturally, my sister Ashley and I chose to follow my mother. A lot of things didn’t cut out to be including the attempt to migrate to London, UK. Then we headed back to home country, in Klang to be exact.
Within the same year, we moved to a quiet sub-urban area called Gelang Patah, Johor Bahru.
This was also where I completed my final major high school exam as a substitute student.
I took the SPM exam with a handicap; I had been out of school for a few months and there were only 3 months left to study for 8 subjects. I had to drop I.T. due to the lack of facilities in the sub-urban high school.
I finished the final high school exam with 5As in my pocket - not bad for someone who had no aid of aggressive tuition and being out of school for months.
2004: My First and Last Full Time Job in Kelana Jaya, PJ
As soon as I left high school, I secured a ‘five days a week’ full-time job at a chemical manufacturing company in Petaling Jaya, while studying in college part-time over the weekends. Pay was relatively decent for a school leaver and my hourly wages were raised gradually over time. This work-study routine went on for a year.
I was saving as much as I could from my monthly salary. I kept a disciplined, documented record of my income/expense on a daily basis and looked for every way to save as much money as possible, and later prospect the possibilities of starting a business. Of what kind, I didn’t know just yet back then.
A pinch of faith and a dash of trust later, I emptied most of my annual savings into starting an Internet Business.
2005: Starting My Internet-Based Business for the First Time
I quit my full-time job (too soon) to pursue this only to learn that I made a very stupendous error. I saved only enough money to start the business as a digital product reseller, but I didn’t allow myself room for inevitable financial mistakes.
Predictably, I landed myself into a pile of debts and I stopped college thus marking the second time I stopped school, again for the same lame excuse: no money. This was my biggest trial by fire I had ever faced and I wasn’t even sure if I would be able to endure it all.
The fact that I had made big, bold promises to my mother and hiding the problems under the rug on my sister made me feel all the more guilty.
However as luck and perseverance would have it, things took a rebound a few months later and the first sale I made online gave a glimmer of hope.
A few more online sales followed in and I was able to keep the bill collectors at bay for a while. My random shots into the dark paid off in spite of my ineffective marketing methods and over time, I got a better grip and understanding on my own business and the E-Commerce landscape. The business finally grew its pace and I cracked the code to building myself a pool of loyal customers through my newly Private Label Rights niche.
I finally achieved Debt Zero before Christmas in the same year. Undoing all the financial mistakes had been the biggest relief for me, ever.
2006: Moving To Town Area
I narrowly escaped the financial guillotine but there was still another problem: my sister was to go to college this year. I was saved again by luck when my sister was to be enrolled into the National Service program for 3 months. This bought me ample time to pull off a Product Launch and fund her tertiary education as soon as she leaves the NS.
Because of the lack of broadband access, no nearest college and other essential services in sub-urban Gelang Patah, my mother and I arranged to move to another house in Johor Bahru town area, 15 minutes to the first causeway.
2007: The Networking Age
Although I could continue sitting at home and the money will still roll in from my Online Business, I chose to rent a house in Petaling Jaya and pursue more opportunities to grow my business and meet some of the most brilliant minds, starting with a 4 month apprenticeship with Sen Ze, the longest practicing Internet Entrepreneur in Malaysia. Later in the same year, I ‘went to school’ with MindValley Labs for a couple of months.
Just as there are two sides to a coin, I have met my fair share of ‘bad apples’ - deceiving characters, financially desperate folks, and people who were more interested in taking my money and time under the pretext of ‘working together as a business partner’.

Mindvalley Dinner. L-R: Vince Tan (Internet Marketing Evangelist), Gobala Krishnan (Profit Blogger), me, Vishen Lakhiani (co-owner of Mindvalley Labs)
Nonetheless, meeting a variety of characters and personalities harnessed my exposure and I gained more wisdom in dealing with people throughout time.
2008: Moving Back to ‘Work From Home’ Lifestyle
I gave up my place in PJ, moved back to Johor Bahru and reverted to the ‘Work from Home’ lifestyle. After experiencing a full year of going about in the busy roads of KL, I decided that working from home had always been the best business for me.
My productivity went up, I met less problematic people, my business revenue exploded, and for the first time I toured to 3 different countries - Iran, Indonesia and Japan (Singapore doesn’t count).
Occasionally I would still go to PJ and KL though I spent more time in Singapore: I am of the opinion that the Singaporean Internet Entrepreneurs are better than that of Malaysians in many respects. And who else better to learn from than the Asian Tigers?
In the later half of the year, I wrote and published a book together with Stuart Tan and Dylan Loh titled the Secrets of Millionaire Students. The book was released in major book stores throughout Singapore, followed by Malaysia and Singapore on October - November.
2009 and Beyond…
Once again, I moved to Petaling Jaya to grow my business and personal development on a more serious level.
This is about the same time I started this blog too. Read the main pages on my blog by clicking here. I also have a Personal Homepage where I talk about my adventures, post up photos and other non-Internet Marketing related stuff at EdmundLoh.name.
