I Want To Get More Traffic And Build My List

THIS MIGHT SURPRISE YOU, BUT… TRAFFIC ISN’T REALLY A PROBLEM.

Not for you even.

Here’s the thing: traffic is less of an issue today than it was many years ago.

Today you can get traffic from Google, Facebook, email advertising, blog networks… just some to name.

And these channels would love nothing more than to send you MORE traffic!

Before we get to that, I need to get this common misconception about getting traffic out of the way…

YOU DON’T NEED MILLIONS OF VISITORS. NOT EVEN HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS.

The truth is: not everyone will buy from you. Heck, most of them WON’T.

Basically, it’s a numbers game.

In the world of direct response marketing, you are said to be doing well if you get at least 2 to 4 customers for every 100 direct mails you send out. The same holds true for making money online.

In fact, my websites get only thousands of visitors every month on average. But I attract only people who are serious about buying from me or becoming my client. I make my visitors go through a simple process of qualifying themselves before viewing my offers.

To me, it makes no sense to get hordes of visitors to my website if they are not even interested in what I have to say in the first place. (This is why ‘guaranteed traffic’ programs are B.S.)

MYTH #2 DEBUNKED: FREE TRAFFIC vs PAID TRAFFIC

If you read any books or attended any seminar, surely you’ve heard of so-called ‘free’ methods to get visitors to your website.

While the idea of not having to pay for traffic sounds amazing, in reality this is a true opportunity cost.

Take Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for example.

Ranking your site for specific keywords is growing exponentially challenging by the day, because every day there are new websites to compete against for first page rankings on the keywords you are targeting.

In 2005, there were about 65 million websites worldwide.

10 years later, guess how many websites they are?

And you still hope to compete against so many other webmasters for that coveted first page ranking? That will take nearly forever.

This is why I always recommend paid traffic.

With paid traffic methods, you can validate your ideas quicker and test your offer today, not 6 months later.

The difference between paid traffic and free traffic is like the difference between taking a plane and walking to your far away destination.

THE TRAFFIC -> LIST -> SALES APPROACH

Before you look into getting traffic, you need to first have these two things in place:

  1. A highly irresistible Offer
  2. A means of collecting your visitor details such as name and email address

When you have these in place, you can confidently find traffic.

Your offers will pay for the traffic, enabling you to roll your investment and grow your business quicker.

And the good news? When you get these down pat, you don’t have to work too hard or try too many traffic methods.

I focus on a few core traffic building strategies to grow my business and my clients’.
