Our society has built this mentality that you must go through your formal education, up to college, get a degree, work a job, save up and retire. I went to college, got my 4 year degree it Computer Information Systems. Guess what? I didn't use it and actually found that I didn't like it. Of course before I graduated, it was too late for me change majors. Of course it allowed me to get my first full time job as a web developer. But after quitting that job, I realize as an entrepreneur, that you can do a lot better. When I look back, College is only good for social life, to build one's character, and possible self motivation. But as entrepreneurs, we can find that easily. I agree Edmund. I also have the same thinking. Before this, I always feel a bit "jealous" with some of my friends that have higher level education. But after I discovered what exactly I need and wanted to do, then I threw away that feeling. :) Higher certificates are useful if you want to have a good "secure job" + higher ranking in your company.
